An outpost is a machine of yours: a Mac mini on a desk, a GPU box in a lab, a VM inside your VPC, an ephemeral sandbox that lives for an afternoon. The agent runs outside and reaches in, so the only thing landing on your hardware is the work itself, over a single outbound connection, with nothing on your network listening.
